"Pumpa" Head

I bought this little jack-o-lantern hat last year thinking that Emma would be born before Halloween(ha-ha-ha) and I found it in her closet this morning. Even though it's way too small, I put it on her head and let her look at herself in the mirror. She went crazy over it and wore it almost the entire morning. If it fell off she would run after me saying "pumpa" over and over again while patting the top of her head.

Well, we don't know why but Emma has been obsessed with sitting on things for the past few weeks. She will turn her body backwards to the object of choice and walk in reverse until she feels it on her legs and then sit down. She is such a silly little monkey! Here are a few of the many things she has been sitting on..........

Emma had been imitating me yelling into the bucket all night so we had to get a video of it - her little burp in the end makes it even cuter! :)

Barn Party

My parents had a barn party last night and we had so much fun! Emma had lots of friends to play with and she ran around like a monkey non-stop for 3 hours - Aric and I were ready for bed before her! Emma really enjoyed the bonfire and bobbing for apples (splashing all the other kids was how she played the game).

Well, Emma is in a stage where she does not like performing for the camera so this is the best video I could get of the song - she's usually much more animated with it, especially with the yell in the end. Please ignore the bad singing, I'm a speech therapist, not a music teacher! :)

Emma's 11th Month Of Life

Our First Trip To The Zoo!

I have been wanting to take Emma to the zoo for quite a while now since she loves animals so much and I thought, what better day than my birthday? The weather was beautiful and we had a great time!

Ducks were out and about all over the zoo and Emma had to point almost every one out to us, it was very cute.

Grandpa Schrag will be thrilled, one of Emma's favorites was the hippos. We saw them just as they were coming out of the water. Aric had to pry Emma's hands off the bars and she threw a little bit of a hissy fit when she had to leave them! :)

This gorilla just sat and watched us, it was so neat. Emma was amazed by it - if you look closely you can see Emma's reflection in the glass just staring at him.
