Pregnancy Update

We had our 12 week appointment today and everything looks great! The baby's heart rate was 180 and I'm measuring right on target for January 13th. I'm really hoping that my nausea and sickness will start to diminish now - it would be nice to be able to tolerate the smell of bananas and cook chicken again! :)

Emma wore her hat ALL day today.

Dancing Monkey

Emma has been enjoying having her stuffed animals dance with her lately, sometimes she will even make things like her cup or a book dance too. :)

Illegal Driver

Driving while eating AND talking on the phone - not good.

Coincidence???

I was giving Emma a bath tonight and she was playing with her foam alphabet letters. She has really been showing an interest in letters and numbers lately so we've been teaching them to her. "P" is one of the letters she knows and in the bath she picked up the letter "P", told me what it was and then proceeded to hold it between her legs and pee on it. Hmmm, not sure if she connected the two or not but I guess it could be a good potty training tool - "come on Emma, let's pee on your "p"!"

Father's Day

I wanted to get a good Father's Day picture today but Emma was not in the mood for pictures. She wanted me to hold her and when I wouldn't she went completely limp in Aric's hands. Aaaah, the toddler years!

Emma's Fun Weekend

We had a very busy but fun weekend. Emma is definitely going through a growth spurt because she has been eating NON-STOP the past couple of days. It has been so incredibly hot outside that we've had to find a lot of new things to entertain her in the house. She loves to be outside and that's usually what we do most of the afternoon - sooooo, we gave in and bought a nice little pool today. It's plenty big for the three of us and we don't have to be miserable when we're outside now. She loved it of course, and so did we!

Juice Sorter

Emma is very active and it is rare for her to sit still for very long with one activity. This afternoon she spent 30 minutes placing these juice containers in and out of the box.
Emma LOVES playing hide & seek with us and begs us to do it every night by yelling "ROAR". I can't believe how much she loves to be scared.
One of my best friends came to visit with her son Hobbs and they had a great time running around outside, playing in "baby jail" and dancing like maniacs!

6 Wonderful Years

Getting Dressed

Emma has really been working hard lately on dressing herself. Even though she hasn't quite got it yet, she sure is proud of what she can do!
