Cora had been taking just a couple steps at a time for the past couple weeks but just a few days ago she started to get brave. She's on her way to being a full-time walker!

Festive Bedroom
I got Emma her own little Christmas tree for her bedroom this year and today we made a gingerbread house to go along side of it. She just loves having them in her room to look at!
Sponge Bath
Cora cracks me up. Anytime she gets ahold of a rag or baby wipe she pretends to wash herself. :)
Hat Day
I know there are a lot of these pictures, but I just loved them all and couldn't decide which ones to post! My sister crocheted these adorable owl hats for the girls and my mom knitted the adorable apple & Christmas hats. LOVE them!

11 Months Old!
I forgot to make this post back on the 6th, so here it is. I can't believe my baby will be 1 in less than a month - it just doesn't seem possible! Cora can now sign "eat" and "please" and loves to shake her head Yes and No. She points at EVERYTHING and says "Dat". Just a few days ago she started walking! I will try to get a video up soon.

Christmas Tree
Emma helped me decorate the tree this year and she had so much fun. Cora did well for the first day with not taking the ornaments off, but then she got sneaky and ornery. So, for yet another year we will have a half decorated Christmas tree. Maybe next year!

Bathtub Fun
Both girls absolutely LOVE bath time. Cora goes nuts when she hears the water running and has been starting to try to scale the tub wall to get in by herself. The other day I was doing the dishes when Emma came running in saying, "Mommy, Cora's in the bath tub!". I figured she was just attempting to get in, but there she was, sitting in the tub just as happy as can be!

Hide & Seek
This is how we have to get energy out of Harrison when it's too muddy to play fetch outside. It definitely entertains the girls!
Real Life Baby Doll
Emma's cousin Chloe is such a teeny tiny thing that she fit in Emma's doll stroller. They did this for about 20 minutes and both had a blast!

10 Months Old!
Cora has accomplished two major things this past month. As you can see, she is now standing on her own! She hasn't tried to take any steps yet but I'm sure she'll be walking soon. The second thing is that she FINALLY cut her first tooth! I was beginning to think she would be toothless forever. :)
A Very Happy Birthday
When I asked Emma what kind of b-day cake she wanted she told me a Flamingo Cake. What??? She has been telling me this for several weeks and I have no clue where she got the idea. Thank goodness my mom happened to have some of these flamingo picks, otherwise I have no clue how I would have done it.
3 Years Old!!!
I just can't believe my sweet baby girl is three years old already! She has been such a joy in our lives. Here are some things about our little Emma Bean that you might not know:
- She loves to sing the songs that Aric and I listen to often. Her favorites to sing are, "If I Die Young" by The Band Perry, "Wonderwall" by Oasis and "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go" by WHAM (I'm especially proud of this one).
- She is a very well behaved little girl but you better watch out when she has low blood sugar, the drama queen sure comes out!
- She loves typical girly things but also loves to play sports.
- She is very into pretend play.
- She loves to color, build things with blocks and read books.
- Her memorization skills amaze us. She can hear a book or song only a few times and she will already know it by heart.

9 Months Old!
We did not have a check-up this month but I did Cora's measurements to the best of my ability. She weighs 22.5 lbs. which is in the 90th percentile and she is 28 inches long which is in the 75th percentile.

Little Bully
Our sweet little Cora has become very playful. She loves to "attack" if you are on the floor with her. She also likes to nose-dive into blankets or pillows.
Beautiful Bargain
Those of you who know me know that I love to shop, love fall colors and love to find great deals. I spotted this quilt from far away and immediately loved it. I was more in love when I saw that it was originally $120 and on clearance for only $15! So of course I just had to have it. :)

Expansion
No, not with another baby.....yet. We are all so proud of Aric, he has expanded his office! The opportunity came along for him to take over the space next door and he just couldn't turn it down. He doubled the size of the waiting room and gained 2 more offices and a bathroom. Emma has always loved to visit her Daddy at his office but when we took her in for the first time she was soooo excited that she just had to dance and run around. She then went up to Aric and said, "Good job making your office bigger Daddy!". It was so sweet.
Waiting for snow......and also a flood.
Emma found her snow pants from last year and has been obsessed with wearing them. It's crazy to see how much she's grown in a year!
Big Green Monster
A few months ago Emma started telling us that she sees monsters in our bathroom and in her bedroom. When I asked her what it looked like she would always say it's green. Hmmm. We started letting her sleep with a nightlight but she would still get a little scared. I found a book called "Big Green Monster" and immediately bought it and she hasn't seen any green monsters since!

8 Months Old!
She's getting closer and closer to the big 1 year old! I just can't believe how fast time is flying by. Cora is still toothless but hopefully we will get one soon. She loves to pull herself up on everything and is starting to cruise a little bit. She can say "Hi" and "Yay" and gives kisses.
ABC Book
This is what happens when a toddler asks you to read the same book about 5 times a day for atleast 2 weeks. It's pretty long but I figure all the grandparents will enjoy it.
Slurp
Cora is so proud of herself for being able to drink out of a straw, she kicks her legs like crazy every time she gets some water out.
