Horsin' Around
Aric occasionally works on some horses at a Quarter Horse Farm not far from our house. Last weekend we took the girls along. Emma loved petting the baby horses and driving around on the golf cart.

Green Eggs & Ham
I recently got Emma the classic Green Eggs & Ham movie and she asks to watch it about 50 times a day. The other morning we made some green eggs together. Since I have never gotten the child to eat anything pig related, we pretended that cherries were ham. Cora even wanted to try them!

Piece of Letters
So Emma gave Aric and I a very good laugh tonight. Yesterday Harrison did something to make me mad (why haven't I buried him in the back yard yet?) and I was so mad that I called him a piece of you know what. Except I didn't say the word, I spelled it out so Emma wouldn't repeat it. Tonight Harrison got into the trash AGAIN and Emma called him a "piece of letters", it took us a while to figure out what she meant and when we did we just laughed hysterically. The way her little mind works just cracks me up!
Brown Bear, Brown Bear
Emma loves to read her books. She will either read from memorization or make up her own stories. Every time she starts to read one Cora will come crawling as fast as she can so she can listen. I love it!

Cora has made a lot of changes this past month! She can now crawl like a maniac and loves to follow Emma around the house. She is able to pull herself up to the knee level, she has been working very hard to get into a standing position. I have tried solid foods with her three different times now and the third time was a charm. She does not like apples or pears but really likes squash, carrots and bananas. It has been such a joy to watch her grow!
