Daddy's Home
Aric was gone on a business trip this past week. The girls definitely missed him, and me too of course! I told Emma he would be home Wednesday morning but Aric surprised her Tuesday night. The girls reactions were priceless!
Dress-Up
Emma's new favorite thing to do is to play dress up. The second she wakes up in the morning she is already getting undressed and picking out her outfit for the day. She is always very proud of what she has picked out!

No Longer A Chunk
I took Cora for her 1 year check-up this morning. The last time I took her was at 6 months and she weighed 21.4 pounds, OVER the 100th percentile! Today she weighed 22.1 pounds and is now in the 60th percentile. I can't believe she gained less than a pound in 6 months! She grew 4 inches in height and is now 31 inches, which is in the 95th percentile.

December Days
I haven't been the best about updating the blog recently so I just decided to do a slideshow with pictures from December. As a teacher I always look forward to Christmas break and I had so many great things planned for my break.....well, things didn't quite go as planned. It all started with me backing into my mom's car and damaging both cars pretty good. How many years have I been backing out of that driveway??? Then just a few days before Christmas we got hit hard with the stomach flu and still weren't feeling quite up to par on Christmas day, but we enjoyed being with family and seeing the excitement in the kids. We finally got to feeling better and I was able to go out for drinks with my best friend from HS and then we spent a nice evening with some good friends of ours. We went to the RH gym and let the kids run wild and crazy. Emma had a blast with her friend Ryker and continuously asks when she can go play basketball with him again. That next night Emma woke up with a temp. of 103 and she didn't get rid of the fever until the following morning. Blah! Emma got to feeling better a couple days later and we were getting excited to go to a wedding in KC on New Years Day and catch up with old friends....that is until Cora got sick. Oh yeah, and during all of this I also got a horrible eye infection and my temporary crown came off and my Dentist is out of the office until Monday. Needless to say, we are tired and are ready for everybody to be healthy again! Thanks for letting me vent.......now enjoy the pictures! :)
