For some reason Emma associates "hairbands" with "band-aids" which is where she gets the word "hair band-aid". She also thinks that our dogs tongues are worms. :)

Playground

We took the girls to the Rose Hill playground last weekend. Emma had a blast but it was soooo hot, even at 9 am! Summer just started but I am so ready for Fall already.

Father's Day Gift

Aric's guitar has been broken for several years now and I have been wanting to fix it for him for such a long time. I wanted to do it for his b-day, didn't happen. I wanted to do it for Christmas, didn't happen. So I finally was able to do it for Father's Day. I took Emma with me to pick it up and told her that it was a big secret and she couldn't say anything to Daddy about the guitar. The second Aric walked in the door on Friday Emma says "Daddy, we fixed your guitar! It's in Mommy's car". Little stinker. Oh well, Aric was surprised anyway and Emma is having so much fun listening to and playing the guitar with her wonderful Daddy.

First Swim of the Summer

The Carnival

We went to a carnival last weekend and even though it was insanely hot and we were all sweating buckets, we had fun! Emma was too scared to go on any rides by herself but we finally got her on the carousel with Aric. She had a blast and cried when it was time to get off. Then she played a fishing game and won 2 stuffed animals. At the end we listened to a band play and Emma and Tucker were dancing machines!

5 Months Old!

Cora continues to be a little sweetheart. She is starting to have belly laughs, can roll over both ways and is starting to scoot a little bit. Just today she started to wave (I'll get a video up of that soon). Her little face just lights up when she sees Emma, she adores her big sister. Quite a bit of her baby hair has fallen out and the new hair growing in is very blonde! I weighed the chunk a monk the other day and she is a whopping 19.5 pounds, but she always gets a lot of attention from chubby baby lovers in the grocery store! :)

Potty Update

Emma is doing so great with the potty training! Now I think I'm glad I waited a little longer, much less mess to clean up. :) It pretty much only took her a week to figure it out. She hasn't had an accident in 3 days, she stays dry through her naps, she has woken up dry the past 2 mornings and she even stayed dry the whole 3 hours we were at the zoo yesterday! I am so proud of my little Emma Bean!
